Making salsa from scratch is a fun way to spice up your taco bar or switch up your mid-day chips and dips! Pico De Gallo is the easiest salsa ever with just tomato, onion, jalapeño, garlic, cilantro, lime zest, lime juice, salt, and pepper. It’s a great recipe to start off your salsa making adventures! Once you’ve tried this one I suggest giving my Chipotle Salsa or Salsa Verde a try!
Pico De Gallo
- 4 plum tomatoes, chopped
- 1 large white onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeno, minced
- 1 lime, zest and juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper, freshly ground
- Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl. Taste and adjust the seasoning to your liking. Serve immediately or store in container for up to a week.
